06/25/2024 09:00 AM - 12:00 PM ET

Summary

Join the Habitat Team for a restoration workday at Panola Mountain State Park.

Description

Join us for a volunteer workday at Panola Mountain State Park, where we are restoring 50 acres of grassland and woodland habitat.

Connect with Birds Georgia staff to learn the importance of native plants and habitats for birds and other wildlife while helping to remove non-native weeds and other undesirable species from the park.

What to bring?

  • Water
  • Dress according to the weather and the work being done; chance of encountering poison ivy, insects, arachnids, etc.
  • Close-toed shoes - boots recommended
  • Recommended but not required: sunglasses, binoculars (it's a great spot for birding!)
