Birds Georgia is partnering with the National Park Service to host a BioBlitz at Cochran Shoals, the most popular birding spot in Metro Atlanta. This event is a unique opportunity to contribute to valuable scientific data while exploring the park's rich biodiversity.

What to expect:

  • An introduction to iNaturalist, a user-friendly citizen science app that helps identify and record species observations.
  • Guidance on the specific taxa we'll be looking for, ranging from birds and butterflies to plants and fungi.
  • A discussion on the importance of documenting wildlife to understand and conserve our natural areas.
