Join the Habitat team and the Trust for Public Land for a citizen science project to document the local flora and fauna that call RiverLands Showcase Park home. This data will help Birds Georgia, TPL, and Cobb County better understand how to manage the land to preserve the local ecosystem.
RiverLands Gateway Park, once open in 2026, will be a regional trailhead and will provide key access for people to experience the RiverLands Greenway and Mableton Parkway greenway trails, and also will provide desperately needed access to the Chattahoochee River via a kayak launch and boat ramp.
What to bring?
- Water
- Dress according to the weather and the work being done; chance of encountering poison ivy, insects, arachnids, etc.
- Close-toed shoes - boots recommended
- Recommended but not required: sunglasses and binoculars
